Replacement roof, facias guttering and soffits

The client had a leaking roof, and they wanted us to replace it as soon as possible.

The first step was to carefully remove the old tiles. We didn’t want to damage them, as the client wanted to clean and reuse them.

Once the tiles were removed, we could see that the joists were rotten in some places. We repaired these using new timber, and then we replaced the facias, soffits, and guttering.

We also installed new felt and battens, which are the pieces of wood that the tiles rest on.

Finally, we replaced the tiles. We started at the bottom and worked our way up, making sure that each tile was properly aligned. Whilst on the roof the chimney was repaired and rendered, together with replacement Extractor grill and satellite dish

The project only took a week to complete
